Nissan Note Fuel Consumption (MPG & km/L)

Since its release in 2006, the Nissan Note has been a well-liked family vehicle; however, this specific model, which has low CO2 emissions, was designed to provide consumers with a more affordable choice. Despite being a direct competitor of the Honda Jazz, it was discontinued in 2017.

This five-door hatchback was built in Sunderland and was based on the Micra, a small Nissan vehicle. Additionally, it maintains the previous car's remarkable levels of practicality even though the manufacturer claims it moves away from the traditional mini MPV market and is directly targeted at the Ford Fiesta.

Running costs for the Nissan Note should be reasonably low because all manual models—aside from the base 1.2-litre petrol—fall below the 100g/km CO2 threshold that qualifies them for free road tax. However, the figure increases to 119g/km if you choose the CVT automatic gearbox, which is only available on the supercharged 1.2-litre three-cylinder.

Nevertheless, the naturally aspirated model achieves a marginally less impressive 60 mpg on the combined cycle, while the supercharged petrol can still return 66 mpg.

With a combined fuel consumption of 78 mpg, the diesel is the model to have for economy and emissions, though we think a real-world figure of about 65 mpg is very likely.

You might be able to go more than 550 miles between gas station fill-ups with a 41-litre tank.

Since every Nissan Note in the range has stop/start technology, all of the cars' emissions are impressive. The only thing that hinders the 1.2-litre supercharged car's performance is the CVT gearbox, which increases CO2 emissions from 99g/km to 119g/km.

The 1.5-litre diesel impresses us the most with its 95g/km figure, but the naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol manages a respectable 109g/km.

The Nissan Note is another model that is assembled in the UK, so you can anticipate fairly good reliability from these vehicles, which are just as well-built as any of the company's other vehicles.

Nissan Note Fuel Efficiency Figures

The fuel consumption of the Nissan Note is shown below in both MPG (Miles Per Gallon) and km/L (Kilometers Per Litre). Both of these figures show you how far that particular Nissan Note variant can travel for every gallon (4.55 litres) and every litre (1000ml) of fuel. The higher the MPG or km/L value, the more economical the car is and the cheaper it will be to run. As well as providing the combined figures, we also give you the fuel consumption you can expect from a Nissan Note in urban / city driving conditions as well as what can be expected on the open highway / motorway.

How To Calculate Real Fuel Consumption Of Your Nissan Note

The 'real fuel consumption' shows you the amount of fuel your Nissan Note is consuming to travel a fixed distance. This is normally shown as L/100km. This figure shows you the amount of fuel consumed in litres for every 100kms travelled. This is the most commonly used figure for showing the fuel consumption of a vehicle. The formula to calculate it is:

(Litres of fuel used X 100) / Kilometers travelled = L/km.
