The manual versions of the less powerful Skyactiv-G models, which also use mild hybrid technology, are said to achieve 47.9 mpg and emit 134 grammes per kilometre. Once more, automatic versions are less efficient; they only manage a combined fuel economy of 44.8 mpg and emit 143 grammes of CO2 per kilometre.

They've run a few tests on the CX-30 with a Skyactiv-X engine, and they averaged between 40 and 41 mpg. Although it is less than the official figures, which is typical, it contrasts favourably with the 1.5 TSI petrol SEAT Ateca and the 1.5 TSI petrol Skoda Karoq.
