According to Hyundai's claims, the Hybrid model can get up to 40.9mpg in 2WD and 38.6mpg in 4WD. While fuel economy figures should be taken with a grain of salt, we believe they are easily doable; a 300-mile road trip over a variety of routes yielded approximately 35mpg in the 2WD variant, and we weren't always kind.

Hyundai claims that the Plug-In can achieve fuel economy of 161.2mpg when correctly used. In practice, we'd expect it to be closer to 45 mpg.
