Fiat Punto Fuel Consumption (MPG & km/L)

Having been in production since 2005, the third generation Fiat Punto family hatchback had a long and happy existence. It didn't stop producing until 2018, thirteen years later. The car underneath remained essentially the same despite a 2009 facelift that gave it the new name Punto Evo. This continued until the 2012 update, when Punto was once again the name.

Despite its unassuming appearance, the Punto shares a lot of internal hardware with the Vauxhall Corsa and was developed as a joint venture with General Motors. Fiat's top-notch engines and transmissions are still present.

The 1.3-litre Multijet diesel, with 83 horsepower, is the most fuel-efficient engine available for the Punto. Its stated combined economy is 80.7 mpg, which is a very high figure, but in actual driving circumstances, you're probably closer to 70 mpg. When it comes to servicing competitors, Fiat is competitive. When it comes to servicing costs, the brand is on the less expensive end of the spectrum.

The 1.3-litre Multijet diesel with 83 horsepower is the greenest engine available for the Fiat Punto. Its CO2 emissions are an impressive 90g/km. The TwinAir three-cylinder engine, which has 83 horsepower, is the best option if you prefer a petrol version. CO2 emissions are 98g/km.

Fiat is leveraging dependability to bolster its brand. Particularly with regard to Fiat Punto dependability, the engines—including the TwinAir petrol—have a lot of experience. Though some of the interior plastics remain to be seen, this Punto feels and looks reasonably well-built overall.

Fiat Punto Fuel Efficiency Figures

The fuel consumption of the Fiat Punto is shown below in both MPG (Miles Per Gallon) and km/L (Kilometers Per Litre). Both of these figures show you how far that particular Fiat Punto variant can travel for every gallon (4.55 litres) and every litre (1000ml) of fuel. The higher the MPG or km/L value, the more economical the car is and the cheaper it will be to run. As well as providing the combined figures, we also give you the fuel consumption you can expect from a Fiat Punto in urban / city driving conditions as well as what can be expected on the open highway / motorway.

How To Calculate Real Fuel Consumption Of Your Fiat Punto

The 'real fuel consumption' shows you the amount of fuel your Fiat Punto is consuming to travel a fixed distance. This is normally shown as L/100km. This figure shows you the amount of fuel consumed in litres for every 100kms travelled. This is the most commonly used figure for showing the fuel consumption of a vehicle. The formula to calculate it is:

(Litres of fuel used X 100) / Kilometers travelled = L/km.
